As a 360 solution, Official helps couples strengthen their relationships through date ideas, intimacy cards, daily questions, tips and more. Today, the app has been downloaded 500k times, with 100k daily active users and a 4.7 rating on Apple’s App Store based on 6.9k ratings.
TangibleCodes joined Official’s relatively junior development team when the company was analyzing its product market fit, a period that created a lot of technical debt and stress on servers — resulting in large infrastructure costs.
Our goal was to fix the system while keeping up with the development roadmap. A notable challenge was building our own infrastructure and moving away from cookie-cutter server solutions, which were both overly expensive and couldn’t keep up with Official’s growth.
Ultimately, we migrated the production database without any major outages or data losses, hitting deadlines with ease and helping to build an immediate hit with users worldwide.
